Adbrite is another one site, which I loved. You have to create an account first in their site. Once when account created, you will be given a piece of code with full instruction of how to use it, where to place the code and everything you wish to know. Follow those instructions. Once when your site is approved, which generally takes 1 to 3 days, you will start getting ads displayed in the place you allocated for them. You can select the ad type, ad size, postion, everything, by selecting and filling the form in your account.
Note: Accounts are of two types. One called Advertisers and another publishers. Advertisers are those who want to place ads in others sites. Publishers are those who want to get ads and place in their site to earn money. So be sure that you choose "Publisher", when you create an account.
